ISO 9001 CERTIFICATION
Quality by MOSCA means defining supplier specifications and guidelines as early as the blank and material procurement stage in order to conform with the customer quality requirements. Quality controls are performed systematically from the start of production through final assembly of the machine. The result is a future-safe standard. Today, MOSCA is the world’s largest manufacturer of narrow strapping systems.
To maintain this high standard, MOSCA arranged for the whole company to be clarified to the ISO 9001 standard in 1995. This highly stringent European standard for quality assurance underscores the reputation of the MOSCA family business for setting new standards.
AEO CERTIFICATION
In August 2011, Gerd Mosca AG from Waldbrunn, Germany received the title of the „Authorized Economic Operator“ (AEO). This certification is important for companies who contribute on the cross-border trade in goods: The status of the AEO indicates exceptional reliability. Therefore, the company can claim special benefits within the clearance of goods in order to simplify the international supply chain from the manufacturer up to the final consumer. Moreover, the international approval simplifies the access of new markets.
Since 1 January 2008, companies that are located in the European Market and contribute on the transboundary trade can apply for this certification. Since August 2011 Gerd Mosca AG has the title of “AEO – custom-regulation-simplifications”, which was granted by the Chief Customs Office in Karlsruhe. The aim of the certification is to simplify the international supply chain from the manufacturer to the end consumer.
Companies can gain the status of AEO´s by meeting certain criteria. Important for the status are issues like fluently functional logistics and organizations, detailed knowledge of the custom regulations and the establishment of specific safety measures in order to impede the access to internal data and goods or to avoid access without authorization.
Owners of an AEO-certification enjoy simplifications in the international trade of goods and services, for example a simplified application procedure which speeds up approval procedures. Additionally, the observance of the AEO-Criteria also has advantages within a company: Theft and residual loss of goods is lowered by process optimization and internal control mechanisms. Also delays in dispatch and safety issues are lowered, which facilitates the collaboration with the business partners.
Except Germany, the certification is also used from companies of Switzerland, Norway and Japan. Further proceedings are conducted with the big economies USA and China.
